Guiyang, named for its location south of Guishan, is abbreviated as "Zhu" and also known as "Jinzhu". It is the political, economic, cultural, educational, scientific and technological, and transportation center of Guizhou Province, and an important transportation and communication hub in southwest China. The total area of the city is 80,434.5 square kilometers, and the permanent population at the end of 2024 is 6.6025 million, including 55 ethnic groups such as Han, Miao, and Buyi.

Guiyang has many famous scenic spots. Qingyan Ancient Town is a national 5A-level tourist scenic area. It was founded in 1378 during the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty and was built due to the military garrison of the Ming Dynasty. It is named after the blue rocks. The Ming and Qing ancient buildings in the town are densely distributed, with a profound historical heritage and cultural accumulation. Jiaxiu Tower is a landmark of Guiyang. Together with Cuwei Garden beside it, it is a Ming Dynasty building. With its upturned eaves and ancient charm, it is like a beautiful picture against the background of the Nanming River. Qianling Mountain Park is a well-known comprehensive park in Guiyang. There are attractions such as Hongfu Temple and Kanzhu Pavilion in the park. Tourists can worship Buddha and climb the mountain here to overlook the beautiful city scenery.
